"What can I say about Serenity other than November 1st, 2019. That is the day they saved my life. I tried two other sober living programs in the past but it wasn't until I moved into Serenity that I found a place I could call my home. I was in the darkest days of my life, I felt like there was no hope left for me, and I was ready to give up completely. However, today I'm forever grateful to the staff and to my counselors I've worked with at Serenity for helping me learn the tools I need and giving me the most amazing support network to help me maintain my sobriety. "Hello my name is Phil D. I'm currently a resident here at Houses Helping Humans. I just wanted to let everyone know that this is a wonderful and blessed program that gave me another shot at living life sober and free. The addiction counselors, staff, and everyone else helped make this program possible and also a life-changing experience for me. I've done programs all my life, but I can tell you that not one program out there can match what this program has to offer. To be honest, it's like a dream come true for me but first you have to be honest with yourself and ask is this what I really want and yes for me it is what I really want. So, I had to find myself and learn a lot about addiction because I wanted to know what kept me using and what were the tools that I needed to learn and I picked them up here. I can honestly say that today I love myself and life is so much greener on this side being clean and sober but it doesn't come cheap. You have to really work hard for it just like when we were out there in our addiction. All the energy and time you put into getting that next fix, you have to do the same and much more for your recovery but it's a blessing and I thank my God and my fellow brothers here at this home for making everything possible. "Hello, my name is Joseph , a current resident of the Serenity Mental Health Sober Living Program, I am here to tell you that from my experience of 8 months with this program I have achieved 2 years of sobriety, great staff that keep me on track, on the path of graduating state probation and drug court, great spiritual growth and self-awareness, developed coping skills to handle my addiction, and the biggest one of all, able to work. This program has healed me more than any program I have been to even more so than rehabilitation facilities. This is the only place that has ever worked for me and they have never let me down. I have never been more comfortable with myself in my life. I am only 24 years old and most people my age don't achieve overcoming addiction thanks to this program.
